aware of the young creation movements, the Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes offer to the young creators of 18 to 35 years mobility programmes in phase with their expectations.


objectives answered by the mobility programmes :

• offering to young creators a wide range of European residences
• facilitating the encounter with new audiences
• offering new professionalisation tools
• promoting co-operations between artists


in order to answer those objectives, the Pépinières set up actions around three axes :

• action 1 :Encounter, exchange, produce within diversity of experiences : the mobility programme

in partnership with artistic structures in 27 European countries, and in Quebec, les Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes organise residences for visual arts, live performing of pluridisciplinary artists.

• action 2 : Share, communicate, disseminate: the communication pole 

this step is essential because of making readable Pépinière’s artists processes readable among a wide audience. the Pépinières organised events as Park in progress and the European Forum of young creation, or was associated to existing events as FIPA. In order to communicate on their artists and actions, the Pépinières also created publications available online or by order.

• action 3 : Cross experiences, co-produce, perpetuate

the Pépinières give a real importance to the following of artists before their residences: it is about supporting collaborations initiated during residences and help them to find partners and founds, with training.


strenghten by their two former experiences : map (2001-2004) and map^xxl (2005-2008) the Pépinières set the map^2008-2009, still going on.
