Particularly regardful on the emergence of new forms of turism which mix culture, environment and encounters, hito propose a new promoting approach of the Pyrénées heritage, by setting up an original network of artists’ residencies from each side of the Pyrénées, along an artistic path discovering heritage and environment.
main objective create a network linking the different actors from development, economy, country, tourism, environment and culture, taking place in each side of the Pyrénées, to share experiences, pool means, help the emergence of new ideas to create new innovative touristic products and promote the richness of the Pyrénées, the human, natural, cultural and industrial heritage…
specific objectives
• create a transborder cooperation network between actors from development, tourism, culture and economy, from the 3 partners areas, Aquitaine, Aragon and Midi Pyrénées
• set up an original network of artists’ residencies in creation places part of a path crossing the Pyrénées with artists offering new proposals and exchanging with publics
• make local people to be involved in the project through proposals by artists in residency
