Dominique Leroy creates installations, sound compositions and performances that imply the active participation of the spectator. The idea of combining structures, sound and movement is completed by research into the conditions of listening to and producing sound. These experiments linked to catching and treating sound imply the manufacture of accessories for microphone extensions. The acoustic exploration of zones characteristically located in everyday life feed into a database that is useful for his compositions. Recordings catch only the temporal matter of a situation. By selecting a place and fabricating the installations or architectures of diffusion, he reactivates these data by offering them a new sound space. The public can expore these configurations, these different pathways and listening points.
