Park in progress, an experimental and cross-disciplinary festival, gathers together from all over Europe and from Asia forty artists best representatives of the emerging currents within the contemporary scene.

The programme is devided into two phases. The first part consists in multi-field performances in interaction with the public, revealing the human bounds established by these young artists. It will be a special moment of sharing through the nine hectares of the parc. Spectacular live creations to explore once the night fallen. Choreographies, video projections, laser and sound system shows will embark the public into a sound and lights strolling through the night.

Until nightfall, the artists will expose to an eclectic public their creations “in progress” having the trees, the bushes and the mazes of the park as a decor. Music opening offered by the Czech Michal Marianek, hanging creations signed Jérémie Boyard, Alice Rosa and the Chinese Li Wei, as much of unique moments to experience. Furher on, the public is invited to amuze itself to death of the extravagant proposals signed by the British Stephen Skrynka, the Belgian group Woosh’ing Mach’ine and de Pierre-Etienne Morelle, to take part in the Alice Kok’s karaoke arabe and to discover the original performances of the Chinese artist Pak Sheun Chuen and the Japanese choreographers Chiyo Ogino, Yuka Saeki, Yoshiaki Inatsugi et Yoko Higashino.

At twilight, three winged dancers will present a choreography on the benches in the park, signed by the French artist Stéphanie Chêne, followed by the creation of the Argentinian Ayelen Parolin, developped during her residency at la Villette with Julien Galle-Ferre and Adriaan Russouw Van Der Werme. The hanging choreography of the French company LLE will invest the large cedar of the park to mark the passage from daytime to nightime.

The nightime treck starts up at 10.30 pm. Guided by sound and visual signals, the public will be invited to explore the parc and to assist to special shows, from performances to video projections, passing through various installations. An oportunity to discover the latest creations signed by the electro composer Sébastien Rivas, the amazing performances of the Finnish circus artist Ville Walo accompanied by the magician Kalle Hakkarainen, the choreography proposed by the Belgian Louise Vanneste and much others ...

The evening will end up with some spectacular audio-visual creations around the castle, video projections signed Johanna Vaude, laser sound performances signed by the Austrians Reinhold Bidner and Robert Praxmarer and the live electronic creations of the groupe Dardex & Mort2faim, which will embark the spectator into an exploration of the invisible forces of the night.
